The Lisbon Literary Review exists to support writers, translators and artists who work with language with rigor and attention to literary form. We believe literature flourishes when artists are given space, time and the freedom to develop their voices.
As part of its mission to support art and culture, the magazine ensures the remuneration of contributions by poets, translators, visual artists and other collaborators.
By bringing together the literary traditions of the English and Portuguese languages, the magazine seeks to encourage dialogue, discovery and creative exchange across cultures. At the heart of this project lies a commitment to literary creation and to the role that art can play in the cultural and intellectual life of society.
